Melasma is a chronic condition. It can be lightened and kept under control, but not cured — and the wrong treatment can make it darker.

About theconcern.
Melasma appears as symmetrical brown or grey-brown patches, most often on the cheeks, forehead, upper lip and chin. It is driven by a combination of hormones, genetics, sun and visible light, and heat. It is more common in women and in medium to darker skin types, and it often begins or worsens with pregnancy or hormonal contraception.
In Dubai, the combination of strong sun and heat is a constant trigger, which is why melasma tends to recur. Treatment is a long-term plan: calm the overactive pigment cells, lighten the patches gradually and protect the skin every day. Any promise of a permanent cure should be treated with caution.

What canwe help with?
- Symmetrical patches on the cheeks and forehead
- Pigment on the upper lip and chin
- Melasma that appeared during or after pregnancy
- Patches that darken every summer
- Melasma that has returned after previous treatment
See a doctor first
We check every one of these at the consultation — and say no when saying no is the right answer.
- Pigment you have not had examined — a dermatologist should confirm the diagnosis first
- Pregnancy and breastfeeding — active treatment is usually postponed
- Anyone expecting a permanent cure — melasma is managed, not cured
- Recent tanning or ongoing intense sun exposure without protection
- Aggressive laser or high-heat treatments — we do not use them for melasma
What the doctormay recommend.
Each option has its own page with the details and prices. Which one suits you is decided at the consultation.
Matching thetreatment to you.
Melasma is treated gently. The backbone of the plan is a course of depigmenting peels and protocols — PCA, ME LINE, Azelaico — combined with home care and strict protection from sun and visible light. Biologique Recherche treatments can support a calm, balanced skin.
Heat-based devices can worsen melasma, so they are used only selectively. Lumecca IPL is considered only for specific, assessed pigment types and with cautious settings; for many patients it is not used at all.
Because melasma recurs, the plan continues after the visible improvement: maintenance treatments and daily protection are what keep the patches light.

- 01
Consultation and diagnosis
The doctor confirms that the pigment is melasma, assesses its depth and triggers, reviews hormones, medication and sun habits, and photographs the baseline.
- 02
A gentle course
A series of depigmenting peels or protocols, spaced a few weeks apart, with home care and sun protection agreed from day one.
- 03

Asked beforebooking.
No. Melasma is a chronic condition. It can be lightened noticeably and kept under control, but it tends to return with sun, heat or hormonal changes.
Heat and inflammation can stimulate pigment cells and make melasma darker. That is why heat-based devices are used only selectively, and gentler protocols come first.
Lightening is gradual — usually noticeable after a few sessions and clearer at two to three months.
Daily broad-spectrum sunscreen with protection against visible light, reapplied through the day, plus the home care the doctor prescribes. Heat exposure, such as saunas, can also be a trigger.
Active treatment is usually postponed. The doctor can advise on safe sun protection in the meantime.
It depends on the treatment, the area and the number of sessions. Each treatment below has its own page with the clinic's prices, and the plan you leave the consultation with is costed in full before anything starts.

Physician-led
Every treatment is planned and performed by a doctor or a certified therapist of the clinic — never handed to an untrained pair of hands.

Assessed, then treated
We start with a skin assessment and your history, and only then choose the device, the depth and the number of sessions.

Original protocols
Certified devices and original consumables: Morpheus8, Ultraformer, Lumecca, Endolift, Volnewmer, DMK, Biologique Recherche.

Planned over time
We photograph the baseline, plan the course and adjust it as your skin responds, instead of selling single sessions.
