Acne develops when pores become blocked with oil and dead skin cells, bacteria multiply inside them and the skin reacts with inflammation. Hormones, genetics, stress, some cosmetics and certain medications all influence it. It is common in teenagers but frequently continues or begins in adulthood, particularly along the jaw and chin.
Heat and humidity increase oil and sweat, and heavy sunscreens or make-up can congest the skin further — a familiar combination in Dubai. In-clinic treatments clear and calm the skin; for moderate to severe acne they work best alongside medical treatment from a dermatologist.

Congestion responds to deep cleansing, HydraFacial or AquaPure, which clear pores without irritating the skin. Chemical peels and DMK regulate oil and cell turnover and reduce new breakouts over a course.
Inflammation responds to Dermalux LED, which calms the skin without heat, and to soothing Biologique Recherche protocols. Dermapen is used only when clinically relevant — usually once active breakouts have settled, to address texture and marks.

Harsh extraction and heavy products can. Our protocols are chosen for acne-prone skin and adjusted if the skin reacts.
For mild to moderate congestion, in-clinic treatment and home care are often enough. For cystic or severe acne, we recommend medical treatment from a dermatologist alongside or before our protocols.
Usually a course of four to six sessions a few weeks apart, then maintenance as the skin settles.
It depends on the medication. Isotretinoin in particular means waiting before peels and procedures. Tell the doctor everything you take.
Red and dark marks usually fade with peels and time; true scars are treated separately once breakouts are under control.
